My New Living Room, Guest and Craft Room

I'm so excited to introduce my latest furnishing and decorating project, my living room!
After going threw countless magazines and becoming a slave to pinterest I figured out the look I was going for. Then all it took was lots of DIY projects, I part time job surfing Craig's List and lot's of time. For those of you who have seen my old living room, this is the same couch. Its the pottery barn classic and it got a $45 make over with an Ikea slip cover. SCORE
I found this painting at a antique shop (more like a flea market type place than antiques) I got it for $130 and I'm in love with it. It's a local artiest and it reminds me of the foothills and Dish in Palo Alto.

The picture on the left is my favorite on from our wedding. It's hard to tell but Rory just looks so happy to be with me and it makes me smile every time I see it.
You know how I love my antique mirrors.

I found these sterling silver chaffing dishes at good will for $10. I have never seen them for under 200.

Yes I know, I know those are the stock photos that came with the frame. But I'm hoping that my talented friend Cassie will make silhouettes of my 4 children for the frames....
I love this giant vase, it has such a chic 70's retro feel with a touch of Maria Antoinette.

Found these at that same Flea market antique place $10
My "M" wall finally found a new home.

If this doesn't inspire you to make something I don't know what does.

It looks amahzing!

Genius on the ribbon storage. (Take credit even if you saw it on Pinterest.) I love the antique portraits. You should name them and pretend they're distant relatives.

To die for... I am offended that you don't have pictures of the living room.

Fantastic and amazing!! I feel like I can place you in this house now. When I'm imagining you and what your doing, laughing on your couch with your new friends, having a party with your new chaffing dishes, glancing in the mirror as you walk out the door on a date with your Austin friends. Never mind, I hate it!

SO incredible! Oh, how I wish you could come and help me decorate my little living room in my sweet PA rental! You've inspired me to at least clear the laundry from my sofa so I can think about decorating...
miss you!

So gorgeous. You transformed that sad, dingy EV apartment into so much more. No surprise that your next place would look like a palace. So excited to see it in person!!

Stunning! It screams you! I absolutely love it. So vintage. That craft closet/room is amazing! I say room because that is as big as Chloe's room in our NYC apartment. ha ha. Happy Thanksgiving!

It looks perfect, Anne. The classical look combined with modern techniques fit perfectly together. Even the color combination looks great; I couldn’t tell if this is an interior of a hotel or an expensive restaurant. Haha! I would suggest adding mirrors to complement your living room -- just like in classic movie settings where they have beautifully-placed large mirrors.
